Creamed Turkey on Toast Heather Edger - Lewisburg, Ohio
Course:Main Entrée Servings:4 Ingredients & Instructions: 7/8 cup water ¼ cup powdered milk 3 tablespoons butter 1 pound uncooked turkey breast, cubed 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Salt and pepper 2 tablespoons all purpose flour 4 pieces of thickly sliced bread
Add enough water to the powdered milk to equal 1 cup; set aside. In skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over high heat. Add wild turkey cubes and mushrooms, stirring for a minute. Season with sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking until turkey is cooked through. Add turkey mixture to 1 toasted slice of bread and pour cream sauce on top.
