Ginger Venison Steak
Favorite of Kelly Masel - Coal Run, Ohio
 
Course: Main Entrée
Servings: 3-4

 
Ingredients & Instructions:
1 pound venison steak
2 onions sliced
2 cloves garlic
1/3 cup minced fresh gingerroot
¾ cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon oil
6 slices fresh gingerroot
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Slice steak against the grain and place in zipper style plastic bag. Add onions, garlic and minced gingerroot to the bag. In measuring cup, stir together remaining ingredients. Add gingerroot slices; cook, stirring frequently, until browned. Remove skillet from heat; pick out and discard gingerroot slices. Return skillet to heat. Add venison, sauté until meat loses pinkish color. Sprinkle cornstarch over venison in skillet, sauté for a few more minutes longer, stirring occasionally.
